New Stradale Deals Anyone?

As you would probably have gathered, I have been banging on about the GT order book having now been closed and there just being a handful of UK cars left in Italy ready to be shipped in addition to what is already here.

This has come a year or so too soon for me but I would love to try to be able to make the numbers work on a new Stradale as a keeper and have been calling around the dealers to see what they have. There are a few cars around both here and in Italy ready to ship but apart from the cars at JCT600 in Leeds @ £95k, the dealers are telling me that these cars are being offered at list which with options, are in the region of £120k with only small discounts available.

If anyone knows of any good deals around, I'd be very grateful if you could pass them my way as I know a few of you mentioned £90k in the past which is much closer to the magic number!

Many thanks all

When I was offered a price on a cancelled factory order GT Sport back in April, I did a Car Wow search to check whether the discount was as good as it seemed to be. Apart from that price, the deals were all between £4K & £5K off max. Certainly no hint of the kind of percentage that would have put a Stradale at £90K. As an aside, I used the Maserati Worldwide configurator to compare local selling price for identical spec GT Sports at current GBP/EUR exchange rates...£98K in UK, £115K in DE, £118K in FR and £137K in IT Not sure that bodes well for end-of-line discounts.

I got nearly £10k off my factory order over 5 years ago so tell them to try harder.

Is the GranTurismo really stopping - my supplying dealer did not agree when I asked 2 months ago - or is it just rumour?

Anyone paying £120k for a Strad right now will either be desperate, or have ordered it to their own spec. The £95k cars at JCT are testament to this. Strads cannot be sold in the UK after December 31st this year as they will not be Euro 6 compliant. This means that any remaining cars are on a countdown to being registered by that point - anything remaining in the dealer network will be registered this year to ensure it's not rendered worthless. The JCT cars are being sold at 20% discount from list, apparently approved by Maserati. That is where I would start any negotiations. The closer we get to the end of the year, the bigger the discounts available.

Hi Bob

According to Maranello my MD it is. I also 'heard' salesman talking/discussing it. FWIW Maranello think there is a new model GT being announced in Spring 2018.

Yet the Autocar article I poasted yesterday said the new GT was only at design stage. That said they could announce spring 18 for 2019 deliveries.

Who knows what's going on?!

I presume the EU6 comment applies to all GT/GC?

If Maserati know what's going on they aren't sharing it! I do think though that we'll see prices rise... maybe in line with the kind of price people pay for a Bentley.

Not sure as it does not fit with them selling new Ghibli diesels at £43k after discount.

I can't find anything about Euro 6 that ties it to end 2016 just Septembers 2014 & 15.

My understanding is that it relates to Euro 6 OBD 'C' - [FONT=&quot]OBD C applies to new vehicle type approvals from 1 January 2016 and all vehicles from 1 January 2017 and sees reductions in the NOx emission threshold detected by the engine’s diagnostic system, from 1,500mg/kWh to 12,000mg/kWh

The above taken from the interweb, no accuracy is stated or implied.

Will Brexit no give the GT a longer life in the UK...EU compliance could be history here...well here's hoping.

I think 'no' is the start 'and finish' Since we are likely to be in the EU for at least two more years

The UK remaining in the EU has the least bearing, IMO. Maseratis are manufactured in Italy which has yet to suggest it may leave the EU, therefore continuing to be Euro 6 compliant. Then there's the likelihood of a low-volume car manufactured in Europe having a specific UK-spec that doesn't conform to anything....

Maybe unsold Strads/GT/GC's will be mothballed until we serve article 50 then they can be legally sold???

You may find all Euro surplus stock will find its way to the UK and be sold in this way.
