As Yeti says, Andy, the QP looks rather generic in its design. Although a different colour might suit it better it's becoming formulaic in the way of many market sectors; remove the badges from a lot of cars these days and you'd be hard put to guess their origin due to their similarity, and that's a shame for a niche marque with a truly sporting heritage. It needs something other than a trident and V8 soundtrack to tell the world that it's a Maserati, especially with a c£100k price tag, and for me it's not there.
It would be nice to think that the Ghibli will redress the balance somewhat, but Transatlantic collaborations haven't exactly hit the spot over the years regardless of the players and, I don't regard the (alleged) Chrysler contribution as particularly thrilling.
