And there are some great Alfa's out there and it will give you a taste of things to come....Big bills and bits falling off.......................................Only joking. An Alfa could be the way to go for you.

Adam, he wasn't really joking about the big bills.
I gave my son my 156 selespeed. he didn't thank me for long.

But I agree, the 156 is a good drive and can be picked upat a good price.

Welcome Gransport...........First year £33,000 YIKES............anyone here will give you a spin for a fraction of the cost :) As said previously no insurance company is going to take you seriously at 17. My advice to you would be to start with maybe an Alfa 156, then progress to an Alfa GT(many members here went through the Alfa thing before getting into Maseratis . There is no shame in having an Alfa Romeo......they are fabulous cars with close ties to Maserati.......build up a good record with your insurance company and by the time you reach 23 a Maserati will be a more realistic prospect. In the interim you are more than welcome on the Forum and to learn as much as you can about this great marque. ......perhaps even come along to a few of our events

Eeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkk...alledgedly after Ronaldo pranked his Ferrari, the recknoed his insurance would be around £100,000 to drive the same model again!

P

PS Adam you aint an apprentice footballer with Man Utd by any chance???!!!

God.....my first car as a student was a 1967 Harry Potter...........aka Ford Anglia.........mid grey......with reverse styled rear window and a 0-60.....nearer a week........it had rot around the front headlights, everytime it rained the bulbs blew........had to resort to black gaffer tape "eyelids"....looked right naff...........all before the days of pimping your motor........

PS Not proud of that story.....;)

Yes, new coded key...£360 plus vat...shocking for a mass produced car company.

found it earlier, thanks anyway

You never know this kind old geezer might give you a few passenger laps at Llandow track day , if you can make your way up there, then you could really see how a gransport should be driven
