Well Adam, 17 hey. I dont know who the youngest member on here is, but I know some that are late 20's, JP and Dem from memory.

When you looking to buy, and more importantly, have you had an insurance quote yet, bet you are going to have to be 23 before they will give you a fair price.

Oh well, 5 years to bone up on then.

Welcome to the fold, you have chosen well grasshopper!!!

i have actually done an insurance quote, first year on a Gransport 33K the car was only up for 4K more lol, yours is a stunning example, like the Grigio wheels, set the car off really well.

i know yeah, i bit steep, well someone i know has, bought himself a Clio V6 first car, 35K insurance as he wanted his policy to be the best including courtesy car etc, his parents are minted the car cost him 16K, waste of money if you ask me but it is amazing at what extent people will go at to make an impression :) oh and yellow is back, decided it looked the best, and may get me noticed on the forum.

Welcome Gransport...........First year £33,000 YIKES............anyone here will give you a spin for a fraction of the cost :) As said previously no insurance company is going to take you seriously at 17. My advice to you would be to start with maybe an Alfa 156, then progress to an Alfa GT(many members here went through the Alfa thing before getting into Maseratis . There is no shame in having an Alfa Romeo......they are fabulous cars with close ties to Maserati.......build up a good record with your insurance company and by the time you reach 23 a Maserati will be a more realistic prospect. In the interim you are more than welcome on the Forum and to learn as much as you can about this great marque. ......perhaps even come along to a few of our events

Thanks very much for the advice, like Alfa's too, especially a 3.2 Brera in Black with Red leather, Yummy, would love a spin in Gransport, the number i have seen in my lifetime is about 5, and never seen a Spyder, they are just so rare, i would love to attend some of meetings/events, do you have a list of where and when they are? also, i am off to the Ferrari Concourse meet on July 4th, any Maserati's going do you know?

And there are some great Alfa's out there and it will give you a taste of things to come....Big bills and bits falling off.......................................Only joking. An Alfa could be the way to go for you.

Yes, I've had 4 in my time and most of them in the 90's and never had an issue with any of them.......They do make the most wonderful looking cars in thier class. Saw a Mito Cloverleaf yesterday in white with dark wheels and I must say it turned my head. Looked lovely. Most on here love the Brera to but it's just so uinderpowered Adam. The only one to have is the V6 Prodrive S.

Even the 3.2? i like the S more though, but i would like an 8C and a Gransport and a 355 if god is kind to me in my future.

Yep, the car is too heavy with it's 4 wheel drive system and there is just not enough grunt. The Brera S Prodrive does away with 4 wheel drive so it is a little lighter and with the upgrades makes it a far more focused car...Could still do with a bit more power though.

Thats a fine garage you are saving up for Adam....3 stunners.

355 has to be Giallo with a Manual, 8C red, Gransport yellow but so rare in that colour i dont think it would be possible to get one so i would have Blu Anniversary instead.

Although, i did see a picture of a Yellow GS for sale at D**k Lovett and a Yellow Spyder for sale at Lancaster, do u know anything about these cars? The yellow Spyder went to auction about 18-24 months ago.

Gransport look at the events by clicking on the link. Forget the Brera 3.2. It is a Chrysler lump and only a shadow of the original 3.2 V6......Alfa GT 3.2 V6 or tthe GTV is the way to go.............fabulous cars and a great pre taster before you leap into Maserati or Ferrari

1 million % agreed!

Most of use came from the V6 Alfa heritage, go enjoy it. See if you can get you hands on a 3.2GTV Phase 3 or a 3.2GT. Out of the 2, if I were a single man, I would go for the GTV, if you are a family man, definitely the GT, its an awesome bit of kit, just make sure the cambelt has been done. If in doubt, just do it again.
