I thought I'd stick some pics up of my new GS since I've recently joined, absolutely delighted with the car so far. Its a Med Blue on Black 06 LE with 45K on the clock. I have a few plans for it, exhaust, detailed etc.....been working on sticky interior parts which seem to be coming up well. Anyway I thought I'd say Hi to everyone, and if anyone has a spare left-side window switch then I'd love to hear from you, my one is marked.

Yeah they were grey before, always prefered silver wheels - yellow calipers sound mega!

I've been looking into Larini sports cats, any issue with MOT? Did you get them direct from Larini, 200 cell I presume?
Yes i got the sports cat’s direct from Larini. MOT’s are ok, but they need to be pretty hot to get them through the emissions, so give it a good thrashing first, and try and get them to do the emissions straight away.

Testers are supposed to allow the cats to warm if they return marginal results, so as to accommodate a reasonable expectation of functioning as per spec. I’m told this is legally required by the tester..I’m sure many do, others won’t bother...

As an ex tester you can take it for a drive to get it to temperature as part of the test.

Struggling to find a price for the larini sports cats, do you know roughly what they come in at?

They are on the Larini website. About £1900 for the replacement primary cats, or £1800 for the replacement secondary cats.

On the subject of cats, do check which type of exhaust manifolds you have. Some cars have the euro spec, four bolts on the flange connecting the manifold to the system. Others have “US” spec, 2 bolts on the flange to the system.

If you've only got the cats done, get an X or H pipe, trust me, you'll thank me when you do. Caliper colour is pretty f*cking irrelevant; can you see it, feel it, hear it when driving? If no, it's willy waving. Spend your money on making it go, stop and sound better, not whether you think someone else thinks red, blue, yellow or silver looks better. Look at the big picture and react accordingly.

Welcome.
What a gorgeous car.
Well bought.
Thrilled you are looking after it.
Hope we get to meet at an event when the better weather arrives.
Meanwhile, enjoy it!

What a fantastic colour combination, hope you enjoy the car.

Are you based in Edinburgh, the first and fourth picture backgrounds look familiar.

Yes, live not far away in Merchiston. I'm yet to purchase a gransport, but look forward to spotting you in future.

good stuff, I’ve noticed how bad the roads are around us driving the GS about, it’s very firm in sport mode! Looking forward to getting it down the borders or over to the trossachs
