New GranSport LE owner in Surrey

May I introduce myself as the new owner of a Nero Carbonio GranSport LE (sold by Sovereign in Whitchurch, details linked from Classifieds forum).

A second young child meant my Noble M12 GTO 3R was getting very little use. The rear seats in Astons and XKRs don't appear fit for purpose, and despite best efforts I couldn't get excited by 911s. The GS looks perfect for my requirements, and even my wife approves. May I publicly thank both Dicky Grace for sharing his wisdom, and DonnyMac for affording me an excellent viewing and extended test drive of his car. Were it not for my laziness I would have sold the Noble privately and bought his lovely example!

The car will be based in Surrey, and spend the occasional weekend in Suffolk. Very interested to meet other owners and take part in any runs - I'll keep an eye on the forum.

Thanks all for the very warm welcome. Initial impressions are very favourable - I'll miss some of the turbo rush of the Noble, but the GranSport is a very complete car. I took both children to a Remembrance Parade at the weekend, with the baby's buggy in the boot. They travelled back in my wife's car, allowing me to explore a little more of the Maserati's personality. I think we're going to get along very well!

It looks like this car will now be for sale. Work is taking me away for a couple of years, and I won't be doing much driving with the family.
