I'm probably the only one on here that likes it! It does have Audi, BMW styling but it still looks like a Maserati to me. It'll sound like one too I'm sure.

It's a bit like reading your favourite authors every new title, you tend to forgive the odd bland plot knowing another will come out soon, in the same vein pop stars have a devoted following who will forgive the condescending cr4p they sometimes release. But with this we are talking about and looking at the long term future.
The trouble with this is Maserati struggled for years then came the tie up with Ferrari which gave additional kudos and the berth of the coupe but it wasn't until the utterly gorgeous QPv came along that the world stood up and took notice.
It was a breath taking design, Ferrari built engine, radical gearbox, totally Italian interior and very fast yet it still struggled to sell more than 3000 units a year.

As far as the design of the Ghibli goes there is not much to really dislike about it in the same way as there is not much to dislike about the BMW 3 series or the Lexus or Audi in fact with those I don't really have an opinion one way or another because I'm not interested which is I fear the way the new Maser will be regrettably received. Plus with 50,000 masers year pouring out onto the streets and some with bl00dy diesels in them................where would individuality and exclusivity go.............up the swannie unfortunatly.

Not sure. Think it will look better in dark colours, especially the nose. Rear is a bit Lexus.

I'm in my GranTurismo through to c2016 so plenty of time to think about a Ghibli, GranTurismo replacement or an Audi A7!!

At least the sport button and the damper button are separate - Maserati has been listening. Personally I often want the firmer damper setting on my car but without the MSP being wound in as much as it is.

BUT.......if there is a soaring world demand for top of the range European cars.......80% of new demand will be in China,India and Russia.......so we won't truly notice many more on our UK/European streets

Nope, there's at least two of us, Dickie. I'd happily bung one in the drive.

Yup, me too, front is Granturismo like....rear......German like.......not a bad combo all in all.

but given the cost of one new......I'd spend the cash on a GTS or Quatroporte GTS at half the price.....and you get the phenomenal V8.fanfare.

Cheers Wattie

What I can't get my head around is Ferrari have gone radical and pushed the envelope while Maserati appear to given up on being different and have opted to blend. They are trying to compete with cars being bought by accountants and they wont win that contest.
