I’ve seen the footage from Max’s car as well, it is from the side of cockpit so you can’t actually see where the wheel touches the road. You would have to see the inside of the wheel, as the wheel/tyre must be completely over the line for It to be a penalty. Unless you have seen different footage of course….

This is the last image where you can see part of the line what looks to be only a few meters of line left. The wheel is still well inside the line. Now you need to take into account that the camera is mounted inboard so there is an angle at play, there is more room between the line and the outside of his wheel (let alone the inside of his wheel) at road level than what you see here. I’m sure the stewards would have given him a penalty if it was obvious that his whole wheel had completely crossed the yellow line don’t you think?

Yes I suppose camera angles can be deceiving and they would have more maybe to look at.

Ex-F1 back marker wins Indy. Reminds me of a 29yo US football player saying that he had a better season than the 37yo Ibrahamovic. Ibrahamovic retorted, when I was 29 I was winning in Europe.!

US racing is big money but the talent isn't all there, same goes for two wheels nowadays too, sadly.

Talent will only take you so far in motorsports unfortunately. It was Dixon's race until he ****** it by speeding in the pitlane and o'ward should have inherited the win but I guess nearly 5 years of non stop driver coaching from Dario Franchitti finally got through to Ericson.

I see Max’s Dad was annoyed and complained that Red Bull put Perez strategy over Max aweekend and should have as Max was the championship leader and defending his title………Get over yourself as with current points there is nothing to say Perez couldn’t take the title with 15 points in it. I hope Perez finishes ahead of Max now as no doubt that would give him something else to complain about.

I’m pretty sure you did anyway…. - it’s pretty obvious that you don’t like Red Bull, Horner and Max in no particular order.

Dads will be dads, I’m pretty sure if you spoke Spanish you’d hear some choice words from Perez’s dad. Plus the press likes to rile things up a bit (which obviously works). At least Jos is not team owner like Papa Stroll so it’s not up to him.

Max just didn’t really have a challenger today and he just controlled his own race. Russel hasn’t finished out of the top 5 this year so very consistent. Just imagine what he would do if the car was better.

Yes, it was not the most exciting race. You have to feel for the Ferrari drivers (and drivers with Ferrari engines). I wonder why Lewis was suffering so much more than Russell with the bouncing.

That engine is having issues. It’s a shame as without them we don’t get a great challenge for the win. Scary track this one and Max held it all together and drove perfectly. That bouncing on Lewis’s car was just ridiculous. You could just see it and worse than anyone else. They need to sort that and quickly.

When it's physically harming the driver there needs to be a decision made somewhere, and soon, because that is just unacceptable.

And wasnt allowed a challenger? Perez told not to fight him

Yes, easily solution, raise the ride height. Team decision

Ferrari have got big problems. Not only dont they know whats causing the issue(s), they will inevitably get grid penalties now on top of everything else

So glad that the driver wasn’t hurt. That is the worse crash I have seen for a while. To clear the tyre wall is pretty scary. And well done Silverstone for stopping dead the protesters that tried to storm the track while this was going on…..Fecking idiots.
