Somehow the little "cap" that covers the headlight washer on the bumper has come off and has left a hole!

Does anyone know the part number or have a spare nero carbonio one (right side) they want to part with? I have an 04 Coupe GT

Cheers
Luke

This is a well known problem.

What seems to cause it is using your headlight washers at freeway speeds.

Due to the airflow over the car at high speed, when you deploy the washers, the slipstream clean rips them off.

Eurospares or any main dealer will hold stock of these as it is such a common fault.

To paint, get you local spray shop supplier to mix you the paint and make up a rattle can for you.

If you have xenon lights then you have the headlight washers, but I get your drift, the front bumper has been changed at some point for a salvage unit.

There is a trick to getting them to stay on with either cable ties or similar. You can effectively increase the holding power without much issue.

Had one of mine go a few years back.

DL replaced it via post and painted it for me too...£56 all in IIRC.

Easy to replace but you need a friend to grap the unit as it pops out the bumper. I secured mine with some fishing line as, as the main dealers keep them in stock, its a commen iss for them to go flying if used at high speeds.

Can you take out a fuse as I find them pretty useless anyway and would be happy to render them that way to avoid the issue altogether

It would seem that the pumps for the headlamps and the screen washer share a fuse, sadly. Also the actual wipers: #37

It's the drivers side that's gone, eurospares refer to it as either left or right hand, would I be right in thinking I need the right hand one for the drivers side?
