Not had the greatest of days I nearly got myself run over twice today just a few minutes ago I got off the final bus after an afternoon up in London, crossed the road past the shops and a white car backs suddenly but silently straight off the shop front into me and I had to jump clear....... BL00DY PRIUS!!!!!!!!

But this afternoon i came out of Sloan Square tube station onto what it turns out is a 'pedestrianised road'!!!! and nearly got myself mowed down by...... o'h yes a 4200 Spyder!!! I think I must have been in lala land not to have heard that one coming!!!

Thanks Frank, wouldn't mind but this afternoon I hadn't had anything to drink.... I was almost on the bonnet though; I dread to think how big that dent would be, it would probably write it off!

It wasn't me; you would certainly have heard me coming up on you! So you see, straight throughs are a safety feature and should be fitted to all Maseratis. However, they should be made illegal on all Saxos and other small hatch-backs.

Wasn't a nasty coloured gold Spyder was it Newton? Seen it knocking around that neck of the woods. Ghastly thing.

Miles, same colour as mine and about the same age; maybe I was too in tune with the V8 rumble to notice it!

I think I can identify the root cause of the issue - in your post you make reference to "the last bus" which suggests you have not only taken "a" bus but "multiple" buses in one day - excessive use of public transport is an established cause of long-term mental incapacity and can lead to a heightened risk of self-harm. You clearly took too many buses!

(I might have to take one myself tomorrow, wish me luck!)

I think you may be onto something there Paco; All of the tube trains I got on had their heating on max... I was close to passing out by the time I emerged from Sloan Sq.

But I will abmit I was slightly wobbly by the time I got home!

that piece of road outside sloane sq tube is stupid. I would imagine that there are plenty of pedestrians hit by cars there as it simply dosent look like a road. it used to be a proper road - no idea why they changed it.
