I'm pretty sure I haven't got Skyhook...maybe I'm imagining the ride getting firmer when I press Sport then.

You are correct.

The sports kit vs MC handling pack are totally different.

The handling pack is a factory fit option.

It has the fixed MC springs. So pressing sport does not change the stiffness, but it is normally stiffer. If you look at cars that have them you will see the suspension is red and has the words MC inscribed on them.

In addition the car is 10mm lower and has grooved and drilled brake disks.

A few years ago there was a guy on here who fitted the suspension kit to his GTS. IIRC it was a lot of dosh.

It would be very rare to have a GTS Auto without skyhook. The best test is to go along a very bumpy road and toggle with the switch.

At least with the Ghibli you can tell if it has skyhook just by looking at the buttons by the gear knob. With the GranTurismo there is nothing visual to give it away.

You can certainly tell that mine has Skyhook. The difference is way more pronounced than with the 4200

So much so that I tend to leave it out of sport....

Mine has the MC handling pack - making it all the more difficult to justify the cost of a Strad

Very nice especially with the shiny Bianco. You do wonder why some people sell cars which seem pretty perfect!

Actually if it was done at the factory as an option it wasn't that expensive. Mine shows it cost £1,400. Which is the same as the carbon aero pack.

Impressively mine has:
Carbon aero pack: £1,440
MC Handling Pack: £1400
Carbon interior pack: £1,450
Carbon interior pack evo2: £1,400

A total of £13k in options when new. Cost £110k brand new.

These make a massive difference.
I can't imagine speccing mine with all the options it has. Seems far too decadent. All the carbon (interior and exterior), plus Bose , Alcantara Headling, comfort pack etc etc come to around 20K.
People say it 'wont be worth anymore come resale time'. Like they say with my steering wheel and alcantara interior.
But really - Something which has 25k of extras on top of a standard GTS surely has to be worth a couple of K when selling on. I paid a bit more for mine because I wanted the carbon and alcantara.

For sure. Perhaps may not net you a couple of £k but for sure make it more desirable and therefore easier to sell.

Depends on the buyer.

Thanks Andy much appreciated - I totted up £20k's worth of options and still a few I can't find

Front & rear parking sensors
Switch controls in CF
Pirelli tyres really ?
Internal trimming glossy black
Alcantara internal areas

If you contact Maserati UK with the chassis number and proof of ownership, they will send you the build cost.
