Generally in the company of like minded enthusiasts but not all the time. Only a couple of weeks ago I went for a very pleasant evening drive out to a country pub at 20-25mph. Ask Matt, he was in the lead (pronounced led) car! I can get 23 if cruising at 75, roof down, but normally I get around 10-12 mixed motoring. As half my mileage is motorway and half urban, it works out at about 18.

Benny, I've witnessed your idea of mixed motoring. More like 8 - 10! I doubt there's a needle that's been so oft' acquainted with the red line. :D

On my european trip i managed to get around the 23/24 mpg motorway cruising at 80-85 which i find is the optimum cruising speed for the GS , MK driving most enjoyable but i barely get 15 , i do a lot of runs down to Lowerstoft mixed driving , and average 19 so not so bad

But it sounds so nice at 8k, and it drowns out the voices arguing in my head!!

"don't be stupid, no you blooody can't"...
"well I'm going for it anyway"...
"AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"...

"there you are, I told you it'd be okay"

Fantastic! Must pop down the road for a look at some point - most people think that a Maser with 40K on the clock is leggy!

Soon, more will have been spent on fuelling this car than was spend to purchase it ... another great record beckons.

Guessing then i have spent £3200 on fuel in the year and my biggest bill has been the DMS upgrade and i reckon i would still get my purchase price back been the best years entertainment for me yet.

More than happy to meet up in the N Somerset area most of the time.
