I have the *exact* scam before with the old Swedish couple!

Not sure what their angle is, but making you pay a deposit for the car or their fares to bring the car over at a guess. No doubt some registration fees somewhere... I really hate scamming, theiving scum no other word for it. Glad it got spotted!

Had another viewing on sunday, hence not being at big meet with the rest of you, guy in his 50s with his wife, seemed serious enough but still waiting for result and its now Tuesday. Really can not see what is putting people off. Bloke from last week went and bought one in Bath with cream leather for another 1.5k more.

My personal opinion spike is that it's a little on the cheep side. I know you had no takers when it was priced higher but now at under 10k it is undervalued and could lead people to question why such a well sorted car is on at that money.
I had this with a cossie I was selling years ago, It's a tough one mate

Put the price up to 12k and see what happens......
Can be its too low i agree, if i had same car and miles as yours and i put it up for more than you people would think im more confident in my car than you.....

There are quite a few hovering around the 10 to 11k mark now, some from dealers with 3 month warranty which I know is worth nothing as I bought mine with 12 months and they have paid for nothing.

Spike, your advert may be a little too detailed, with the huge bills possibly scaring people off. It may also deter people by the fact that you've had it for just over a year. I would suggest stating that it's clean as a whistle, any inspection no problem and don't say how long you've owned it until you're asked, which is usually when someone's come to look at it. Also, if you're willing to take a penny less, put it down to your bottom whack and then say no offers. There are a few in the trade at circa 6/7k, nowhere near as nice as yours, but that's what you'd be looking at if you were to trade it in. From my experience of selling all my previous Maseratis throught the private route. Ebay is worth a go too as I've always had lots of repsonse from there.
Hope that's of some use to you.

SOLD! A guy from up north who viewed a month ago called again and said he had looked at lots since but decided mine was still worth the 'Punt'. Paid the asking price.
