What a car, did me proud and earned it's place - we'll keep it for a while now :)

Full body restoration and rebuild, uprated brakes, lowered on new Bilsteins, high lift cams, 2 x twin choke Dellortos, K&N filters, full Alfaholics exhaust, short diff from 1300. Went like a rocket and was amazing on the track laps - slightly damp but no worries on new R888s, must have overtaken 50 cars on my 3 laps!! Also had a snazzy new cream leather interior fitted to make it bit more luxurious as we toured the Loire beforehand in it. It sounded amazing as well, the best sounding 4-cylinder I can think of.

The finishing touch were the teledial wheels from Alfaholics, their 15" alloy ones. Finished it off nicely :)

Not bad for an old sh!tter :)

Only joking, looks in mega condition, very nice Lewis. Is that a Detomaso Pantera in the background ?

It is a Pantera, this was the annual tour with the De Tomaso owners clubs of Europe. Twenty something Panteras/Mangustas and my little Alfa :)

Stunning Lewis! Wouldn't expect anything less mind you :D Have you had much of a run out in the Lotus yet? Don't know whether you're interested, but there's another wet handling day at Rockingham later in the year if you fancy it?

Oh and many congratulations to you both on the forthcoming nuptials. How did the ring go down?

Regards to you both......

It's the first of the Kamm tails so a HUGE boot (which we filled easily) and a little better to drive than the older boat tail. Much faster as well, really shifts for a 40yr old 2.0...

Miles, as to the Lotus - pick it up on Tuesday if I'm allowed to tax it with a very old V5 that is from several addresses ago... I'll have to see! The plan, sadly, is not to keep it as the world has moved on and there are other cars I would rather have. It owes me 70k easily over 10 years, is in concours condition and I've never even driven it :( Saying that, if it's amazing to drive, it might win me over!
