MPG again

With a Gransport I tend to get 13 to 15mpg around town and 20 to 22mpg on a mixed run (unless the cloven hoof of attack fills the footwell!). Similar for the Spyder I had before. When giving it the berries i expect about 9mpg and a reprimand from the authorities!

I've stopped looking at the trip counter since buying my QP. In my previous Citroën C6 (diesel) I was afraid that I was developing an unhealthy obsession with the trip counter, after all one of the prime reasons to buy a diesel is economy, so I found I was always driving the car for economy and not for me.

Driving for me is why I changed back to petrol :)

Having said that I had a sneak peek on a motorway run and was happy to see 26 mpg over 300 miles.

Just for some context - with a growing family (I must find out what is causing that!) we have a 4 year old Volvo v70 T6. We do not do wax based fuels in our house. It's a big girl, about 1780KG with a 3 litre straight six, light pressure turbo (285bhp) and 4wd. Average consumption in mixed driving - 22mpg. In London last week - 18mpg.

So the Maserati is not really that much worse in the real world and has 100bhp more. Also, think the Gransport may just have the Volvo on road presence and looks.

I took this of the Granturismo S before it left.....now on verge of :Suicide:

Almost 76 hours of driving at an average speed of less than 30mph!!

We'd covered 2274.25 miles together and averaged 15.58miles per gallon.

So that'll be around 146 Gallons of fuel………not cheap….don't wanna do the maths on that one…..

Know what, I' never had so much fun driving so slowly.....gutted it's gone.

Cheers Wattie

At the Supercar event at Dunsfold I did 75 very gentle miles (averaging about 25) and 85 miles hard miles around the TG test track. In 160 miles I used 19 gallons. 8.42 mpg overall and approx 5.3 on track. I dont really want to do any less!

Benny, we all need driving lessons from you! This talk of efficiency is unsettling and needs to stop. :)
