Hi all. Recently bought a 2015 Mc shift GranTurismo. Love the car.

I’ve noticed when I just start up and if it’s on a slight hill, the engine completely turns off when I engage 1st and attempt to pull away.

Is this an indication the clutch is on the way out or something else? Clutch life is about 30 percent left.

Any help appreciated.

When I read the title I thought clutch before reading the symptoms. That would be my untrained thought.

If it is stalling (I.E. due to clutch) you would get a “insufficient oil pressure” warning on the dash. If it isn’t telling you that it’s not stalling, it’s stopping. Which means a code read is in order.
