We'll have to form an Alfa GT breakaway section, but for oil-burners only! Fully support what you have said, Matt. I was extremely unexcited about getting my GT and now it is one of my favourite cars I have owned. I got almost 600 miles from a tank a few weeks back from a lot of steady motorway cruising. I like it so much I'm driving it to Barcelona in a few weeks and then back through Europe on the return leg. MPG is the way forward!!

Not giving it stick Dem, but a mixture. I'll easily get 450 miles from a tank with mostly round town driving, short journeys to the station etc. The minute it's at A-road or motorway speeds my computer thing jumps up into the 50mpg+ numbers if it's kept steady. It will never win a traffic light Grand Prix, but the mid-range acceleration is unbelievably good.

450 in town is excellent, whats that then, £70 a tank i make it 32mpg......i get that out of my 0.7 litre smart......

I make it nearer 40 Dem. (£1.40 x 4.5ltrs=£6.30 /gall. £70=11.11 Gall. 450miles=40.5mpg). I'm getting nearly that out of my 330D BM. Can get over 50 on a very steady run. Nice to have the mix of performance and economy but I'd take my Maser every time and s0d the bills!

'fraid so mate. £1.40/ltr = £6.30/gal. Even more depressingly that equates to 42p per mile @15mpg. Never mind, just make sure you enjoy every mile. We did yesterday, all 400 of them!

Cheers mate, we had a great day. Good run out, shame you missed it but it was good to meet you and the rest of the guys again. We will get down again some time before the end of the year, probably the Christmas thrash. Be there!

Only because it has a tractor engine. Why not rename it the Alfarmer Romeo GT...

Heaven help us if Maserati go this way.
