Agreed they are steep and when you break it all down, £250.00 tops?

I suspect as so few were made/low demand.....manufacturing costs just provide a good excuse to milk buyers further

The forum would be prepared to offer £250 for it. We don't have much money and it would be for the benefit of the owners and be lent out for trips.
Ah, sorry just seen its for the QP we are after a coupe one.

Could have done with this yesterday, hit a pothole in the M25 roadworks and ripped my front sidewall to shreds.. not happy. Sealant didn't work due to it being a sidewall rip rather than on the tread, so now on the hunt for a front tyre ( or maybe two!)

Seen this happen a few times. The worst was to Loz an hour in to France when pothole damage sustained earlier in Milton Keynes let go and his rear tyre ripped half way round the sidewall, nasty!

He was running Vredsteins, like the OEM Pirellis has a reinforced side wall that slices the shoulder of the tyre when impacted.

That is why I always ran Falkens on my Masetatis as they don't suffer from this problem.

Also on the GranSports we see alloy cracking due to the same issues with the reinforced sidewalls.

Hope you got it sorted ok.

If there is I'll put up with them even if only to do away with exploding tyres. Also, i'll gladly put up with the plusher ride as well.

Lorenz, you are correct the Falkens (452's) don't have the stiffened sidewall and thus are softer so on track the Vredsteins and Pirelli are better as there is less tyre slop.

Over in the UK the roads are in a right old state. This is why we see so any cracked alloys and split tyres. I am currently going through the courts at the moment to recover costs against the local council.

In the UK, water gets in the cracks in the Tarmac, freezes, expanding and thus causing crumbling. The councils just fill them in instead of repairing the substrate properly, then they crack, crumble all over again.
