Never seen this before, its mental, its reminds me of the creation of Doc Emmett Brown if he had not gotten hold of a Deloran:
The Maserati Shortcut 99 Concept was conceived by Italian designer Andrea Spaggiari and features a longitudinal front V8 engine that is good for a healthy 450bhp. The designer claims that the concept embodies stylistic design elements that make it instantly recognizable as Maserati. The only identifiable design elements that would lead me to believe that this was a Maserati concept are the signature three polygon fender grill cut outs and the rear taillights that resemble the GT.
The Maserati Shortcut 99 is a 2+2 coupe concept that is supposed to be a blend of classic design with a modern twist. Maybe I would be able to accept the concept as a quality design if it weren't associated with Maserati…. Maybe I just don't like the concept in it's entirety. But one this is for certain, I could certainly think of a much better way to spend my hard earned $200,000. I'll pass on this one.
