I would try RH Specialist Insurance Division: 01277 206912

Brilliant and cheapest I found.

41, GTS, parked on driveway in Chichester, 1 claim, full bonus, protected, fully comp

£700

No considering its a £60k car and I have had a claim, that is good.

I used supercar hub last year for my insurance and the renewal came through this year for less than £700, it has gone up a little anyway. I have a £500 excess, full NCB, car is garaged in Maidenhead, same age as Matt, car is worth £12k but I don't think that matters, its who/what you hit that can cost millions (best to make sure they are dead!).

I tried RH Specialist but they couldnt quote me because it's not garaged in london. even the chap on the phone said it seemed a bit over the top as i pointed out i have gated private parking behind my property totally out of view from anybody/thing

The quotes im getting at the moment are astronomical!!! it's a bloody car that costs less than a BRAND NEW ASTRA OR FOCUS!!!!

I used LV until about a year ago for my 3200, about £550 for £300 xs, full NCB and 42 yrs old. I did use them for another insurance though which yielded a small multi product discount. I now insure my car with RH as a modern classic - £350 for the 3200 and a sunbeam alpine on a 5k mile limit.

Hope this helps,

Steve

If you have more than one car Admiral are well worth a compare. I insured all 4 of our cars inc 3200 and WRX and two other Subaru's for £1300. So far they have been excellent. When my partner reversed into the house they collected it and repaired it within 10 days. Specialist Insurance wanted £900 ( 3200 ) for very young looking 44 yr old with clean licence / garaged and Surrey post code. Not worth it in my opinion unless you have a +£40k car

Paul

Funny you mention a Porsche since I replaced my 911 with an '07 QP about a month ago. Aviva charged me an extra £200 for the remaining 10 months of the insurance year (making a total of £700), which was a lot less than they were quoting for a new policy. That said, the best prices from the comparison sites were typically for Admiral and were generally around £700 p.a. which I thought was reasonable - 4000 mileage limit, max excess, 48 yr old, garaged in SW London, 2 yrs no claims.

I was quoted £390 for the porsche and £500 for the 4200(dont have it yet). Porsche isnt that cheap but £500 for the Maser is good

Mines with Sheilas Wheels. Cheapest of the quotes from half decent insurers. SW is owned by ESure.

Oh and £490 fully comp, 6000 miles per annum.

For what its worth, any of you that have done the IAM (Institute of Advanced Motoring) course - their insurance (Adelaide I think..) allege they will beat any insurance quote for members - Bought the 3200GT about 3 months in to the policy I had running on my old mark 4 Golf R32 - they only charged me £20 for the change covering the remaining 9 months of the policy, they did however note that this years policy (due in a month or 2) will likely be a step up. I'm was only 29 at the time too, hoping with my current age starting with a 3 they might consider me a more insurable risk - although I very much doubt it....

Well I've just renewed the Maserati through A-Plan with Hiscox, the best price on offer (sadly my post code is on insurance blacklists because of the number of teenagers wiping themselves out on the ringroad - Romfordring) but the cover is phenominal and by far the most comprehensive I've ever had, even covering £150 per week travel expenses if you get a ban through top up of points!

Incredibley there is fully comp cover for anyone over 30 not living with us with my permission (like that's going to happen)!

Previously I was with Adrian Flux but they couldn't get within £200 and Aviva etc. were £2,300 to a whopping £3,400!!!!! So £1,230 doesn't seem too bad (only 1 year NCD)

I'm with MWA at £580 including 5 free track days.
At renewal will be looking at a classic policy with my 4200 being 10 years old.
