It's all good feedback guys and i need to know....we are all ears and want to make sure our provider can cover the cars we encourage to propose. Maserati ins is new to our partner and they equally need feedback to get this right. Just now we are developing an online calculator for Maserati, Ferrari, Aston and Bentley to begin with - so that we can speed up your proposal replies.

Interesting i questioned our partner on postcode - and they have advised me that this isn't a factor for this 'type' of insurance... i will forward your feedback and let you know...

Thanks again guys..

2B1 - Your postcode is defo not the factor, they do not take into consideration. (with our partner, cannot speak for other underwriters) - it's regrettably the mileage. The Policy that we excell in and you cannot get this direct from Lockton, is a classic policy and is geared for lower mileage cars - 2nd cars. We are talking about the more 'driven' cars... so keep on it guys..

I'll raise you Newton; just cracked 13000 in 8 months use and enjoyed every inch of them. I was expecting about 4-5000 pa. Impressions; f*cking fantastic in every way. I love her to bits!

I'm not supprised in the least bit Ian, that engine of yours has bearly cooled down the last few months... fair play mate some excellent trips and events under you and Ryan's belts; I believe these cars improve with thrashing & it has done wonders for my driving too.... Just like being back on a fast motorbike without the helmet hair!

Andrea,

Just got a call back from locktons saying they couldnt quote me. Reason being i park on the street in Central London.

Im also probably not a typical profile, age 34, 6000km per year, 1 yr ncb only.

The lady on the call was very nice and courteous about it tho...

Pity they can't quote everyone happy, but with Andrea on their case, hoping they can loosen up a bit....:)

ultraman - thanks, it all gets added to my file on what we typically want... Sorry we couldn't cover you this time, bear in mind for the renewal, we will have the calculator by then so even speedier responses one way or t'other...The good news is we are seeing quite a few take ups, the rates are proving favourable, as with all things tweaks ongoing...

Yes...each and every case is unique...so many variables, hoping the quotes and breadth of owners being quoted for improves with time

I think it would be better for all if basic road tax and third party fire and theft insurance was covered by the government and paid for by extra fuel duty , anyone wanting fully comp could pay for it seperately ........... i think that would work and eradicate uninsured/taxed drivers from our street

regards loz

Yes Loz...something in that......the more you drive, the more you pay, so if big engine, suck it up....if small and little mileage, you'll patently pay less.

Too many people not paying their way, or being responsible, plus cut out the ambulance chasers and other leeches on other peoples misfortune!
