Cracking job Phil, 4.8 is a good number for the clutch... :)

I bet you are feeling on top of the world with that result?

Just done an extended road test in sport mode and far better.
I have a good relationship with Carrs @ Exeter so will see if I can get them to check it otherwise might have to shoot down to the smoke.
Phil.

Loved following the story Phil - so pleased its worked out. Not sure if I can make Bristol Brekkie next weekend as I will be travelling to Dover later as it would be great to see it in the flesh

Great work, Phil. It's good to see these can be fixed at home if necessary, although you're probably braver/more confident than most given your occupation! Put some pics up, looks like a lovely colour combo.

Had a good road test yesterday in her finishing off with an impromptu car meet on the A38 near Burnham on Sea early evening.
Was the only Maserati there but the star was the twin engined mini brought along by a local race driver Alex Buncombe stealing my glory.
Not working today so a few more miles to do and a full check over tomorrow.

Phil hope to be home by three thirty if you are up in the North of Bristol at that time.

A contender for "Thread of the Year" surely?

I'd love to have the time and skills to do what you have done Phil. Big respect. Soon you'll be tinkling with Holden's though!

Getting closer guys and will be having a project for sure as they have some proper man size sheds over there so watch this space.
Just been and had another nice drive around Somerset and performing well.

Well she is now on her refurbished Assetto Corsa wheels with new tyres.
Looking good whilst I had her on the two post ramp changing the wheels over I noticed whilst adjusting the handbrake a nice new shiny F1 pump.
Oh Happy Days this car just gets better.
Getting the 7 spokes refurbed next week so I will have another shiny set too.

Make sure you specify tie down lugs in the container Phil and invest in lots of 5 ton ratchet straps, never ceases to amaze me how much stuff shifts in them!

Thanks for that Newton.
The shippers I'm using are doing this trip all the time and as much as it galls me they do all the packing and unloading.
I've told them I don't want my clutch destroying.

That is reassuring Phil, but no less worrying to see your beauty in someone else's hands and being helpless in the proceedings! I'm regularly loading containers for export to Australia and elsewhere and despite our best efforts damage sill occurs from shifting loads. Mostly it seems from the road train part of the journey across Aus!
