Hi All,
I am now the proud owner of a 2004 Maserati 4200 Coupe CC (pictures will follow at some point).
Thanks to everyone on the forum for all the replies to my threads and also for creating such a hub of knowledge. Conaero you've done a great job.
Throughout the whole process Parisien and Dickygrace have answered many questions of mine as a prospective Masser owner. Parisien has answered all of my many (at times silly) questions, with good grace and with a response time that is sometimes so fast its a bit shocking! He seems like a genuinely nice guy though and is one of the people that makes a forum like this work. Dickygrace I've spoken to on a number of occasions over the phone and he certainly knows his stuff, well he buys Masser's for a living. It was good to speak to someone who was straight to the point and was able to give me so much advice in relation to buying these cars.
It's pretty rare to find people willing to give advice and give up so much of their time when there is no personal benefit to be had from it. Thanks to both of you, I certainly owe you both a beer!
Autofficina did the pre-inspection check. I'm no mechanic, but it seemed pretty thorough to me they checked everything from the ashtray to the clutch. They were very friendly and also gave me some good advice which I appreciated. Their hot drinks machine is also pretty amazing!
However there are a couple of issues that I'll post a thread about in the 4200 forum.
Fingers crossed for happy Masser ownership
Cheers
