I like the look of the GranCab I just think that, with its minuscule boot, its impractical for anything other than posing in.

What else would you want one for?!
Would only consider the MC convertible . The basic grand cab would be a big step down for me.
I am stressing about letting it go- I love it.
I need to test drive the AM 4.7 SS Roadster asap but can't get enoUgh time off work to do so.
Just took my GTs out today and I can't believe how it sounds

They have a white 4.7 SS at Dick Lovett in Bristol Iain....Ever want a look around over there give me a shout and I'll come with you if you want a bit of company....

The Grancab Sport wouldn't be a come down Iain as it's basically the same car as yours with the full Auto MC box. Yes the roof off will blunt a little of that performance but the noise with the roof down would make up for it and as you say they are for posing a cruising......how often do you drive yours at 100% on the roads.....Think you should try one and the Vantage just to see.....Although you probably know the one I would go for.

Hmmmm...You could be right. Let's make it happen. Give me a bit of notice and I'll get away from work.

Experienced a Yamaha FZR1000 at 150+ mph on the A414 towards Harlow once upon a time. Nice straight-ish road, and sure it was fast, but involved, sorry no. Was more a case of hanging on to a big lump and it left me a bit cold.

The 414 from Chelmsford across to Ongar and then on to the M11 is a great road, but the deer are a bit partial to appearing from nowhere, especially at the times of day that are most fun for driving.

Re the GC, I drove one before I bought mine because I wanted to test the auto box. Kept the roof up (it was raining) but was a bit surprised by the wind noise. Much worse than my old Merc cab had been. And the boot was just laughably shite. Look good with the roof down, good for posing (but seriously... posing at all of our ages??) but not practical enough. A dream garage of 10+ cars might have one but I doubt it would come out much. My other one-day cars would see far more use.

I drive that a couple of times a week. If you don't get stuck behind a 30 mile an hour merchant, it's a blast. Deer are only an issue at certain times of year and dusk / dawn. And not really along the whole part either.

This was the other side of Harlow. Early 90s when the new dual carriageway had opened. A nice uphill section to begin, quite a smooth surface and no cameras. The rozzers did have their favoured hideaway (just past where the cameras are now) but little they could do if seen. I knew someone who would wave at them if there :f2:
