One other thing I have noticed on pulling away I get a weird sound from under the nearside rear, a humming noise that changes pitch with the increase in speed.
Bearing or handbrake issue perhaps. Had a bit of a strange noise from mine just before the handbrake destroyed the rear offside.

The handbrake works well, I am not too worried about it as the car has been sat for 2 months so it's probably just needs driving.

I think it was the sleeve/casing which was the issue, not truly worn bearings........

No chance of Mike taking a look over the weekend as an emergency? Might just need a SD reset if you've changed out a load of parts.

Mikes away, I recon it just needs reset, if not Mike will be able to tell which wheel sensor is throw the error and I am sure I can get it fixed... No work next week :)

Humming noise increasing with speed could be a wheel bearing.
You have had your fair share of niggles.

That's what happens when you buy a car that has been sat for 3 months, used for 1, then sat for 2 again.

Most of my errors stem from this bridge can unit failure.

Oh, ABS light comes on first and as I am using it its taking longer and longer to come on. Yesterday it was doing it as soon as I moved, by the end of the day I was getting to the end of our lane then I have just taken it out and made a mile before it came on.

Nope.....just a steady loud hum once you got about about 40....became a bit more obvious, maybe did 1500 miles more on if before it was changed

No I don't get that it's only as I pull away. Don't think its a wheel bearing.

I ache this morning!

Cleaned the engine bay with degreaser, and detailing brush, a light rinse and half a can of back to black.

Moved onto the nose and spent 3hrs with a black permanent marker and G10 compound, a MOP and 3 layers of Harleys and the results are amazing, stone rash totally gone.

Washed and 2 coats of Harley's on the rest of the car, cleaned and conditioned the leather.

A final wash, wax, wheels, hoover and glass to do Tuesday night.

If when pulling away, had a similar problem with a Jeep Wrangler. It was the rear brakes binding after a stop.

Ah, maybe where the car has been sat for ages and hence why each day it's taking longer to come on as the brake frees up?

It would explain the mumbling whirring noise coming from the left rear when I pull away.

One more thing, when I press the brake sometime I can feel the ABS judder through the brake pedal.

I'll get Mike to diagnose which corner is tripping and strip it down and clean/lube

Thank goodness for that!

I've also done no packing or sorting. Will be doing that when I get back from Manchester tomorrow night!
