I've liked the styling, but why do they command such high prices?

They have always been highly engineered cars, most Lancia of the era were, with many innovations one of the first V6, first to use radial tyres, inboard brakes etc. This is a 6th series which like the 5th series was quite a bit different to the earlier cars, transaxle, suspension etc. Bizarrely it wasn't until the 4th Series that LHD was available prior to that they were all RHD

For the day they were fast, comfortable GT cars and many F1 drivers used them as their preferred mode of transport between races. On top of that they look and sound gorgeous hence the demand and prices today

Am i right in thinking that the majority of them are eligible for the mille miglia, which may be the reason they command the prices they do

Short answer no, but it's all ongoing, believe it or not it's going to be in paint this week, plus transaxle being over hauled as I speak, it's a very long story, I'd need to put up another 30000 posts just to complete the first 10 years!

Hi Frank , long time , well its certainly looks a lot different than when we were chasing what we thought was an absconding delivery driver lol , obviously been a labour of love but sure as eggs are eggs it be worth it , pop in from time to time , great to hear from you
