I love my sunroof, big plus for me (even though my drivers side drain appears to be blocked currently! Must clear that out)

My first car was a Renault Clio 1.4... RT with the body coloured bumpers and tachometer, and sunroof! The remote locking mechanism never worked though - because whenever it rained, water would accumulate via the sunroof and dissolve the receiver unit. Also, after a proper rain shower you could get all the stored water to leak out onto either the driver or passenger by spirited use of the steering wheel in either direction.

After the above, I swore to avoid sunroofs on cars like the plague... but now I can't imagine my GT S without one!

Good on JayEmm. Hope he hangs onto it...

I like sunroofs. They let the sun in. Through the roof.
Or keep it out if you close the blind.
Easy to lubricate.
The drains are quite easy to rod.
Nothing to dislike really
Stop fussing, you lot, and let the sun shine in. :)

I'd agree with that too. My XJL has a double glass sun roof and is nice to have the effective glass roof but I never use the sunroof and it needs fairly regular lubrication to stop it squeeking.

As you say, many leak and cause issues so for me a sunroof has more downside than upside. A fixed pano.glass roof seems to be the way forward.
The XJ sunroofs are a joke and don’t really open fully. I have had 351 shape XJ‘s since 2010 and have never opened the roofs other that to demonstrate to people how useless they are.

The sunroof on my Legacy was brilliant, huge and had various opening options. It’s the thing I miss most on my current car.

He’s definitely selling it then. I wonder if it will hit the market or be sold via his site to someone, I guess that’s more likely. Looks a nice example actually.

He is only had it for 2 minutes. Anyway, I never see the point of a sunshine roof as they say here in WALES….When open they are just annoying with the wind noise. You get more air in with the window open.

No heated seats though!! Still can't quite get over why they were an option for the GT S or any QPV...

Couple of points I would like to make on this video but may be incorrect.

The radio is standard and not Bose. It may have Bose speakers but it's not a Bose head unit.

Windscreen double glazed? Aren't all windscreens double glazed, it's called a laminated screen for a reason!

Overall though a fair review I thought.

There's a difference between laminated and double glazed with the latter having a pocket of air in-between the glass.

Yeah but not sure the qp had that in any window. Definitely not obvious there was an air gap. There certainly was no visible seal along the top edge of the side windows just 2 bits of glass.

Windows are definitely double glazed. Look at the top of the window and you’ll see there’s 2 panes of glass.

Agree with side yes. It was more the statement about the windscreen being double glazed which in theory if it was, along with an outer laminate would that be classed as triple?

Great sales tactic .... tell everyone what a great car it is on you Youtube channel and how the great "but slow" SportsItalia has sorted all the niggles and then sell for a profit :D

Bit overall a pretty decent review save for lazy slagging off of PZeros. Saying they don't grip and then waxing lyrical about great handling and moaning about the lack of support in the seats would seem inconsistent?
