Is your car a keeper

My 4200 is a keeper for sure. The missus has told me I'm never allowed to sell it so who am I to argue! I tend to agree for once though as I can't see there will be many decent low owner, low mileage facelift 4200's left in 10 years+ time. Made a mistake selling my SL60 so not dropping any more balls.

Better than money in the bank earning a pittance if you ask me. Then you get to look at, own and drive the beauty as well. Can't be a bad thing.

Be honest, of all the 4200 and GS owners who would love the 3200 looks?

Apart from the back lights, you can keep the 3200. To me, I've got the perfect car so cram it fella, and a happy new year! ;)

Thats because you know I'm right; the looks, the reliability and no roof! I rest my case! ;)

Kept my last M3 for 5.5 years, This was my first foray into more exotic stuff and for me the GranTurismo just hits a sweet spot. Looks performance noise and it's usable. I'm thinking 5 years in her then if I can, a 4 seat stradale, that's my plan and if it works out tat could basically be me in a GT for up to the next 8-10 years !

My old 3200 GT is currently parked up in Ventimiglia for 5 months or so...Definitely a keeper.. the amount of interest you get from all sorts down here is slightly embarrassing though... filthy rich French or Italians, they all love the old Masers!

My 3200AC is a keeper, however I do need the garage space it takes and it's parked for most of the time, including almost full winters.
For this reason I don't know if I will be able to keep it, unless I can find a cheap garage parking around here.

Interesting, was down there in August and saw a Maser GT in the underground. Do you spend a lot of your time away?

Away with the fairies most of the time Phil ;)....Left the old banger down there in the autumn, most of the time you don't get any damp /condensation on cars down there

The best cars to own down here are the old school 4x4 Fiat Panda's, every one has one tucked away somewhere!

I love everything about mine and cant see myself selling it. If i had the funds to buy an alfieri in the future I would love to be in a position to have both. Ive got the garage space so I had better start saving!

I think life is too short to categorically say "Yes I will never sell this car which I have owned from new" (or just bought). I can imagine there are some owners who die and leave their cars etc but many will have them for a number of years and then want to try something else.

I think this is a good reflection of how I feel. I have changed most of my cars within 2y of ownership and the GT is just about to go past that. I have classified "keepers" as those cars that I have owned for over 5 years and not sure my GT will fall into that category and the service costs due next week might have a bearing on the matter!

But once you have it service next week, it should be good for another 2 years / 12,000 miles so maybe hang on to it for a little while yet
