I'd like to buy a Strad. Anyone selling a decent one for a good price

Would anyone be willing to take me out in their Stradale?

I went for a test drive in one and I felt I couldn't get a true feel for the car because I hadn't been able to get used to the gear shifting, not did I want to put it in to race mode when it wasn't my car.

I'm located in Cambridge but would be willing to travel a couple of hours.

I’m near Northampton, if that works for you?

I found the R8 V10 boring just kept hitting the rev limiter all the time sat waiting for more power that never came well built though chalk and cheese rarely totally different cars to compare the 2 seat strad is just a raw gt car

Oh not far at all. That would be awesome thanks!

I'm pretty flexible if you want to drop me a DM to let me know when would work for you?

Will do. Tomorrow is tricky, but maybe Sunday. We can meet on the Kimbolton road and annoy some people in leather pajamas.

V10 R8 is great value at the moment and fully understand why you would want one. Performance wise it is in a different league against a Stradale. Lots say they are dull to drive but the one I drove was anything but dull. A car that can go that fast, handle as well as it does, look as good as it does is anything but dull. The other selling point of the R8 is you can have a manual as well if that is your persuasion. Both are very difference and depends what you want sports car (well a supercar really) or a GT. The one I drove was the convertible and that just heightened the experience. You will never tire of the noise of the Stradale but will never tire of the performance of the R8 V10. Look forward to hearing your journey.

Thinking about moving from Strad to FF. It may have to be in addition rather than replacing the Stradale, which is so much prettier.

Sorry to derail the thread, anyone here moved to FF?

Yes live exactly 2 hours from The Autostore where I keep my cars. My Rosso Centennial is going in for full PPF at The Autostore first week in July . Send me your number and will take you for a spin.
Cambridge Autostore, is that? It’s a good team there, and they seem handy with a spanner, too.

The biggest problem with a Strad is I just keep procrastinating about my next move. Want an 720S or an MC20. The issue is they are all super fast but just don’t have that analogue sound and feel, I drove the Strad to Le Mans and still absolutely love it.

I’ve bought a plate last week (MC20 MAT) but I think if it happens it will have to be ‘as well as’ and not replace the Strad

You'll need MAT 720S as well, keep all options open.

In any case, you'd miss that Strad. It's bonkers and brilliant.

That's the one I test drove and wasn't able to get a good feel for.

The car was absolutely horrendous, it had bits of trim missing, scratched paintwork and they've now updated the ad but... it has no service history, like not even a Kwik Fit service...

Sadly the case for a lot of GranTurismos. Huracans/Gallardo/R8s too.

Yes, they go through the poser ownership phase unfortunately.

Champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget.

The Bentley Continental GT is still going through that phase 18 years on.
