I bought it on Saturday and drove back through Belgium to Calais, it was a great drive home. I have never driven a large capacity car, my others have always been 2 litre turbo charged engines, so nothing down low as the power is all top, but this pulls from 30mph in 4th gear, try that in a Cup ! It is not the fastest car in the world 0-60 anywhere between 4.5 and 5 secs, but the noise gives the impresson you are going everywhere at 100mph.
Yes it has leather seats and air con but it is essentially a racing car. No rubber in the suspension, straight cut gear noise and an exhaust that barks at you when you change down.
Oh and it is wide - 2.03cm at the rear, the rear boot lid slopes upwards from the rear screen which makes any sort of reversing guess work. You sit very low in the car and side windows are small and high, combined with mirrors that block your view at junctions, add in a racing harness so you can't move around to increase visibility !
it is not very practicle, harsh, noisey, no luggage space, 2 seats when there are 3 of us, but it is wonderful to drive !
It needs a good clean but will hopefully get some more meaningful pictures this weekend.
