How many miles on your 3200/4200/GranSport/Spyder?

Why? The reason why the mileage is so low is because these early cars are not very satisfying - all wobbly and odd. Nice to look at, nice to sit in, nice badge, etc. But not nice to drive. Having said that, they still appealed enough to me to buy two, one new (in 2002) and one second-hand (in 2008). But if you want a good convertible sports car from Modena from that era, buy a 355 Spider instead. Just not in red.

Sorry Ewan but, from personal experience, I couldn't disagree more. I am very satisfied with my 'wobbly' spyder and I love driving it. I am sure those that were in the Alps convoy en-route to Modena will agree, it goes very well on very demanding roads and despite being 'wobbly and odd' (your words) it was, at times, hard for them to keep up. I've also been in a fast convoy with a 355 spider and it wasn't that hard to keep up with it. Sure, they are theoretically faster but IMO, dynamically, they certainly aren't worth £40-50k more than mine in red, or any other colour. Btw, mine has 61k on it now, so that blows your 'they don't get used much' theory out of the water as well.

Agree with Benny. And, if someone thinks they're not satisfying, i invite them to Athens and countryside for a ride.

Or i can totally understand Ewan, if his previous car was a Gallardo.

6000 miles here on 55 plate 4200. It is used regularly, just not for massive journeys, weekend 80 mile blasts etc.

What amazes me is that a lot of F cars from the 70s 80s, I have seen for sale many times over many years, yet they all still seem to be very low mileage! Just saying ;) Personally I would ignore indicated mileage and go purely on condition.

got my car in 2007 with 18k miles on it, now just at 51k so i have done 33,000 miles in 8 years, 3228 of those last year on the Modena run, longest single journey. i have enjoyed them all. The car was not well looked after when I got it but runs nicely now, and is a joy (and a test bed for pedal sensors!). Cannot work out what to replace it with, its part of me!!!

My 2006 GS is now on about 66.5k and is running better than it ever has done, though the previous owner spent about £15k on it between 40 & 50k miles
