Mine stays indoors, under a cover...never stored wet, and if any damp is left I leave a fan running to ensure air circulates around her...hmmm may move into the garage, it sounds like quiet a nice place to be!

sorry, dipping in and out, baking at the same time as chatting..

Yep 996 Andy

i used to have a garage, long story, but i need to move stuff out of it...

You could be right about the blasts and braking, i need to head out on the open road more, have an intensive week away on the road coming up, that should help, plenty of motorway driving!

Luckily I live somewhere that isn't prone to passing vandals, they'd have to walk about half a mile through the countryside then enter a private car park, only problem I have is the parking spaces are too small for the cars, I might have to take up both spaces with the maser and park the beemer on the lane which might **** some of my neighbours off but what can you do?

Only problem I might have is the trees that grow over my 2 parking spaces, seem to get a lot of sap on the GTA and birdshit in summer which gets cleaned off as soon as I spot it :(

Thanks for all the responses, sets my mind at ease about leaving it outside in all weathers :)

I kept my last 3200 on the road and it was fine - no damage caused. The only thing was that it required fairly frequent washing to prevent effects of tree sap, bird **** etc. However, I've treated my current 3200 to a nice garage (city centre Edinburgh garage rental prices are a bit painful, but hey ho!). Couldn't quite justify buying one for £70k!

When my brother in law used to live over he he used to keep his Ferrari 575 on a gard standing by the side of the house which was right by the road..OK more of a lane really...It was in full view and outside. Everytime I used to go and see him I used to cringe....Why oh why he didn't build a garage or something on the hard standing I'l never now. That lovely Ferrari open to the elements every day and not even a car cover to keep it warm.

Bought a custom cover for mine for when I have to leave it at work for a few days when going away. Can highly recommend the company and web site if you need it and very reasonable price.

Keep mine in the garage, only comes out when the sun shines, had to throw away lots of things out the garage to fit it in. If only my wife knew what I threw away I may be divorced. May have to delete this post later!

I started by keeping mine in a garage during the week (about 20 miles from my home), however for the last two months she has been left outside to brave the elements. This is how I found out that the car leaks during heavy rain :(

During thes last two months she has spent alot of time at Emblem and Meridien so guess shes dry, wam and secure for now at least!!!

Hey P - They have been water testing, resealing, water testing, resealing etc for over a week now without any joy. The location (behind the bulkhead) is proving very difficult to get to. I have just spoken with the garage who have confirmed that an engineer from Maserati head-office is coming down this week with a 'machine' that will be able to pinpoint the leak!

Well they gave me their assurance when I left it with them that they could resolve it and luckily they gave me a price up front so I'm holding them to it! They have been good so far and I'm sure they will sort it. I'll have to get the details about the machine!
