Buy a GTS now for around £18k and sell it in a decade for around £8k. Compare this to buying an S now for £15k and then selling it 10 years later for £6k. The difference (of about £1k over the ten years) really isn’t worth worrying about. So you may as well buy a GTS in the first place.

Well my last car was a gts and i loved it

Plus the GTS may become the sought after modern classic with it being rarer

That looks lovely. Loving the light interior on it. I would have to change the grill for a GTS one as never liked the Hannibal Lecter grill.....Like you say wheels can be changed. Like it a lot......but....if it was me I would still go Sport GTS as a few has said as would imagine not much in prices these days but you would probably gave to take a few more miles on her which I know you are trying to get one with Lowish miles.
What's wrong with the wheels? :)

Hard to find a GTS with a non-black interior, though.

I like the chrome grill on mine. Maybe because I am a black and chrome guy but I do like the GTS grill too. Not enough to pay >750 though from Modena. Salvage ones are rare as most of the time the fronts take the brunt.

Could you not wrap the slats on the grill? bound to cost 100 tops.
All one piece moulded plastic. If you buy this and swap the grill let me know as some of mine are cracked from being reversed into somewhere. Currently glued whilst looking for replacement.

I had a ride in this car when FTech serviced my QPV GTS about 18 months ago. It felt very fresh and looked much better (incl wheels and interior) in the flesh. I would miss the GTS exhaust note but, given the cost of repair/renovation of most QPVs and assuming this car is spot on, it has to be all about the condition. Easy to change grill and wheels if needed. Unless you can find an equivalent GTS near the price you could end up spending another 5k getting it right. It worries me that so many beautiful QPVs will be written off in the years to come because the cost of renovation will not make economic sense. I remain convinced these are the best looking saloons in recent years. I hope you enjoy it Chris.

Hi thanks for the comment. I am still considering the vehicle. I did not think the GTS exhaust note was different to the standard S as they both have valves?

I agree I think the car would look better in the flesh.

Better qualified people on here to comment but as standard there is a huge difference. I think it has an X pipe as std?? Not sure how easy it is to obtain the glorious GTS howl.

Sports cats, unsilenced x and valved boxes should surpass a gts I would think. The only difference they have from an S is valved boxes isn't it?

A GTS is lower, has a quicker gear change, as well as styling changes too.

I think you're better off holding out for a real Sport GT S vs. trying to build one yourself. I should know - I went thru the same process 3 years ago only to realise better to just buy a Sport GT S! You'll end up spending a small fortune (assuming you can find the parts) to properly transform an S

Also whether you buy a 30k or a 60k mile car if you intend to go to 100k it's doubtful you'll see your money back, QPs are for love only and make zero sense financially
