We are going through today so if you hear something that sounds like a bag of spanners going through that will be me in the soot chucker.

Some of you may recognise the 'hooligan' in the Volante passing by at 49 seconds. You'll have heard me enter the tunnel behind the leader anyway :)

Felt rather sorry for the other cars, they are now swearing they'll get Quicksilver exhausts!

However, we had to make do with the airport tunnels this morning. Several Ferraris, including a very vocal 360 CS, a 680 brake RS4, Esprit V8 on open pipes, a GTR and a Lancia Delta Integrale rally car on open pipes; what a noise! It just never gets old!!

Well Matt, if that doesn't make you itch to get back in a Maser nothing will. I reckon the van was making more noise than you were!

From Pistonheads and written by and engineer on the tunnel:

There are average speed check cameras at each end of the tunnel, set for 70mph traffic (what speed they will catch you at we are not told, I'd imagine 79-80)
The average speed check cameras are variable, so are able to catch you speeding when it's 70mph OR 40mph in contraflow.

I am thinking sportsbike - very loud exhaust, 10000 - 12000rpm, cameras face front of car no doubt - number plate on a bike, at the back
