Just posted this over on Maserati Life, but I found my initial info here through googling and thought I'd see if you could help me the rest of the way...
I've got a 2015 Granturismo. I had the check engine light come on, and a quick google search led me to check the gas cap. The cord that the cap hangs on during filling had gotten caught under the cap. Awesome - easy fix.
A few days later the light's still with me. So, I pulled the codes.
One stored code - P0455. This seems like it would have been the gas cap issue. (Anti-evaporation control system leakage error.)
One active code - P050B. Any ideas on this one? It's "ignition advance monitoring."
Seems bizarre that the active code wouldn't be related to the first, since the gas cap wasn't screwed on right when the Check Engine light went on...
Car seems to be running fine. I'm about to leave on vacation, but I can bring it in as soon as I'm back. Thing is, it's a 200+ mile trip, each way. So, if it's serious I wouldn't want to drive it and do damage. And if I can avoid the drive entirely, that'd be great.
Thanks!
