HELP (NEW USED CAR)

Wife wants to splash about £15-20k on a boring 'no hassle car'!

Despite my best attempts at conveying that no car is hassle free, she is leaning toward a Toyota (has a romantic notion that they're still bullet proof) or a Hyundai (puke).

Can anyone advise an entertaining enough used car that is value for money and somewhat a joy to drive.

Must be automatic, diesel or hybrid, small SUV like RAV4 and can be serviced relatively easily. Opinions welcome.

fighting a losing battle.............wife maths beats man maths hands down every time I'm afraid ime
That’s what I believe too!

The best case here is I can get her a one purpose car, meaning that if she wants practicality, we buy the most practical one there is. Rather than having something that does everything badly.

We’ve got one of these and it gets used more often than any other vehicle as it’s fun to drive and economical to use.
as above Macan is great though

One of my brothers has the BMW and loves it.
The sensible option is the Toyota RAV4 hybrid in my opinion having worked for them.

My wife has the Suzuki Vitara mild hybrid, hers is a petrol and manual (sure the do auto) around 50mpg and an easy drive. Feels surprisingly nippy.

Thanks guy!
I considered the X3 but I think the RAV4 hybrid could be the way to go.
She is an Engineer, which means she’s very plain and she would view the Porsche as very flash.

Tiguans on lease special at the mo, 2year, £3k down, £200pm. Rude not too.

Saying that, lease silly deals are back A6 last week, nice spec, same price as the Tiguan.

Not an Audi man but I was tempted as that is a lot of car for the money.
