Hi All,

We have just joined the forum on recommendation from @MarkMas who we are talking to at the moment about the dreaded failing keys.

We are working on something that could be a solution (fingers crossed) and some input from you guys would be appreciated.

Admin, please get in touch as we don't want to break any of your rules, but also want to be able to help the community out.

All the best,

Chris @ Phoenix

I am sure people will be happy to help, I am certainly intrigued as to what is possible.

How this normally works is members who have had work done share the results and make recommendation. I am sure I speak for everyone when I say we very much look forward to seeing what is possible.

Thank you Zep,

As things happen I am confident recommendations will be made, we are building a very strong reputation, our sister site Phoenix Aston Martin Key Repair is now world renowned.

With regards to what can be done, aside from colour matching to your car and finishing with high quality lacquer, which will also make the outside of the key more hard wearing (I know this can be an issue with the standard fob), we are working on a suitable replacement.

Sounds great. What tipos will you be covering?

I would offer to be a guinea pig for the 4200s but I am testing the water on a few other resto's at the moment.

Apologies for my ignorance, you asked what 'tipos' we will be covering, please can you explain?

Ahh understood.

We are looking at suitable upgrade/replacements to the Blue 3 button Flip Fob that so many have issues with.

We have already personalised one of the new Levante Fobs refinishing it in Blu Emozione (sp)

The newer fobs seem pretty robust, so any work is mostly cosmetic, but the older type ones are made of crumbly blue cheese. (Apart from the glue that holds to logo on, which is made of the stuff they use to glue tiles to the space shuttle.)
