OOPS. Found a picture of the same car. It does have a V12, so is pukka. By the way, I like custard with my humble pie.

Awsome... The 'pitts specials' of the car world; serious cahoona owners only need apply!

Stunning, note the Barchetta in the corner, only 17 built i believe??

Correct...

Fifteen examples of the racing model were produced at De Tomaso's factory in Modena, plus two prototypes (one racing-corsa, one street-stradale). It featured a mid-engine V6 AM501 Maserati biturbo engine 1996cc (red intake manifold for the Corsa) an evolution of the AM490 (black intake manifold used for the Stradale), a central frame holding an integral fuel tank and a very light glass fiber/carbon fiber spyder body, accelerating the car to about 180 mph (290 km/h). The development of a road version was stopped at a late stage. However, today some racing cars hold a road title in Europe, after minor modifications to allow road compatibility.

Good info there Andy, you need to trim that beard of yours though, it must be huge.

Be great to see you Loz. Dont forget though. There are still Highwaymen on the A1 north of Stevenage. I'll get the kettle on. Thanks in advance for the weather.

andyp250f,

A very warm welcome to the forum, WHAT A STAGGERINGLY BEAUTIFUL CAR, you must be really proud. By Highwaymen, I assume you mean the bobbys, yes you are right and a few tax camera's too. Enjoy.

Hi guys, been a while, trying to keep busy, warm etc. I took her out for a blast last sunday, dry and clear but a little fresh. After doing about 60 miles round trip, I now realise the agony Sir Ranulph Fiennes went through with frostbite. I am just starting to get the feeling back in my nose. Own fault though. Wore goggles instead of the (sensible) helmet option. Hope you are all well.

Balaclava's are a good option, but the cops might think you were a bank robber, it would be a good race though whilst you teased the pants off them, before dissapearing off in to the distance??

Well miles, I reckon with a little careful packing, I could get about £100k behind the seat. If, it was in £1 coins, about £7. Logistics are not really my thing. Then again, you know what they say: "Wheres theres a will, theres a relative"

I've had £25K in a briefcase and it went nowhere, you should get a few million behind the seats and in the boot mate. Hope you got the overalls now your part way there, "who's in the money"

Hi Frank, from memory I think the auction went to about £77. As there was no guarantee they would have fitted ( bit short in the leg) I poo pooed them. I will look out for some more though. Thanks for the link.

Maybe should have bought them anyway. Mind you, you would not believe the amount of "you never know, one day that might be worth a few quid" stuff I have aquired. Got an original tail, nose, off a 250F somewhere. You can tell its original, the workmanship is appalling.:happy:
