I had the Yuama black diamond in from Halfords

http://www.halfords.com/motoring/bu...-lifetime-guarantee-096-black-12v-car-battery

Lifetime guarantee, checked the voltage and was losing slightly so they changed it no quibble.

Need location of the navtrack as well, need to get that stupid thing removed.

Found out xmas lights and it not being happy is the speed sensor, Bowkers put on the machine this morning Im checking parts so I can get it done locally (1200 from bowkers)

https://www.eurospares.co.uk/parts/maserati/qtp-2006-4-2/all/braking-control-systems-36204/197118

Looks like the speed sensor/hub is part 6 and they have second hand in stock or new from order, assume second hand is reconditioned which wondering how long that will last ? Is this the correct part number ?

Odd always NS but amount of potholes on my lane means it gets some abuse to get the car to the road.

Thats actually the wrong battery as I have just found out. Its not an 096, its an 017. 100ah and 900CCA, the one you have is way below spec.

ECP recommended the same as yours above but it is wrong, check your reg out here for clarification: https://www.tayna.co.uk

I went for the Exide at ECP, seems good:

Reviving this thread because I've started having both "park off" and "transmission fault" warnings.

Given the car has only recently had a clutch and been fully inspected, I can only assume it's battery related, which would make sense having had lack of use for weeks.

Each time I've cleared the fault. First time with a battery re-set, second time by stopping, waiting a minute and then restarting.

So, assuming it's the battery (notice that 150 miles of driving seemingly hasn't resurrected it)...what battery is recommended?

Yuasa, Bosch S5, or what's the start/stop battery people are talking about?

Really hoping this is just a teething problem, doesn't seem uncommon by the look of it.

Very common! Bosch is the forum's preferred source of electricity, and it sounds like a fresh one would sort your niggles out. It won't get better on its own. I'm not sure if Mark ever had a new battery, but I think most of us have invested in a fresh one fairly early into our ownership of these fine beaties.

Re start/stop, although these cars don't have that, the logic is that a start/stop battery is a tougher old bugger than a run of the mill battery, and therefore generally a better bet. From memory that was @voicey's opinion, which means it's almost certain to be at least 100% correct.

I went for a Bosch S5 recently - can dig up the exact part no if useful to you.

Thanks, I think I've found it via Euro car parts. Does £162 sound like a good price for an S5?

(Type 019 is what it suggests)

I think that is about how much I paid but I didn't really shop around.

The battery you want is a Type 019 S5013

Should be about £120
