The paddle shift CC manual box is very different to paddle shift torque converter autos and I find it thoroughly more engaging than any other newer paddles I've tried, so you should certainly have a go.
I've driven 4200 CC and GT(the specific model name used to denote manual with a clutch pedal) and I loved both. The fully manual is so free revving under heel and toe. You can also do a burn off with fully manual, although I still wouldn't recommend it!
The only problem I'm aware of with manual ones is that I've heard spare parts are becoming imaginary. Someone else should be able to confirm this.

I believe the OE gear lever linkage cables are no longer available, but you can get a set made up!

Yep. There is no longer any stock or being made. You do see some new old stock appear occasionaly but they are silly money.

Very nice GT & great VFM that one. Tough choice that either older GS or newer GT for same money.

From the outside It's the same as my GS...and as mine is black inside to, this looks like a nice change.

Yeah, but in the GS you'll be holding a carbonfibre steering wheel, so it will feel like you're going faster. ;)

Surely the weight saving (along with the bit where the auto / MSP / foglight buttons / brake lever is) means that it will be going faster?

I was thinking of the difference between carbon fibre and whatever the non-carbon trim/wheels are made of - at least 4 oz (1 oz = 25gm for the younger readers) so massive saving... on the GS vs 4200 ;)
