Had a look on autotrader and you can pick up a decent miler GT for circa 30k.....
Ads are 33k ish but im sure you can neg.....

Im asking those who dont own either,

Just the 3200, 4200 and QP guys and also those who dont own them but are about to buy a supercar....

What would you buy??

Im sitting here trying to make up my mind which one id have....
Many people will say they are different but how many of us would still buy the slower heavier GT??

Hmm... good question Dem; Right now if I was buying again I'd be looking for a GS or MCV over a GTS, even a 4.7 because I just love the car and much as I love the brutal styling of the GTS I really feel the 4200 is going to be THE modern classic, it will always be exclusive and I've always been a sucker for a fast back style! Also I'd struggle to fit a GTS on the drive!

All of the above options Dem....making cracking cars suiting many tastes which then trickle down to the rest of us 2ndhand.....buy a different one each year!!!

Its such a personal choice. I think the GT is gorgeous from all angles except the rear which lets it down. I wasn't comfortable with the larger size of the GT so never seriously considered it. In the end went for the more compact GS over a 911 but it was a close run thing :)

Two very different cars..so really depends on what you want the car for.......A proper GT is the...well GT that will cross countries with ease and leave you refreshed......GS is more of a fav road blast giving it some beans...still a good GT though as well.......For me...and never thought I would say it but GT as its the a newer car and please don't ban me but the 4200/GS is getting a little...Just a little old and starting to show its age a bit......But I still love them and would have a GS like a shot but not at 30k because for me I really do not think you need to spend that sort of money for a good one........So if I had 26k it would be a GS...but if I had 30 plus GT......

I think that , regarding the age of the driver, the 4200/GS suits you more. I would get a GT if i was more than 45.

What do you want?A grand tourer with a lot of sportivity, or a prestige business man vechicle?

I am....46.......But I must say that I think from 30k to 40k there would be others cars for me to drive first before deciding....

I bought mine to drive around Europe, so if I had the money it would be a GT, even a 4.2, as its bigger, smoother and has a larger boot.

thought the boot on the GS was larger. 315 litres for the GS versus 260 litres for the GT. Bought the GS. Have a massive soft spot for the Giugiaro shape. Also, prefer the lighter and smaller proportions of the GS.
