GS needed new clutch and possible release bearing change. Took it to Shiltech as they sounded like they knew what they were doing and priced the job at a very reasonable cost.
When they got the clutch apart, the noise I was getting when coming to a rest and pulling away turned out to be the clutch shaft bearing had gone very south. The noise was in fact the ball bearings rattling around in the bell housing. The clutch shaft needed replacing but had to come from Italy as there were none in stock in the UK - but they still had the car ready only an extra 3 working days later than they first promised.
Geoff and the guys there are true enthusiasts and have many years experience including racing Ferraris so they know their stuff. Proper engineers not parts changers. Will definitely go there again. Can't praise them highly enough.
