I personally do think for the extra money, the GTS is worth every penny and you can get a nice GTS for around 75k, i would not consider any other car for this price region.

Oh you would Adam...believe me, theres so much choice out there for this money that it's like being in a brothel full of fit young totty....who to pick first, who going second and so on. Much like the brothel would be (now, I am just assuming here!), this process gets very expensive! I know....having gone through 6 fairly pricey cars in under 3 years, the temptation of choice is hard to resist but, now in my early 30's and ageing rapidly, I've got to slow down my promiscuous purchases and the Maserati so far seems like a good ownership experience to do that with (and after the Porsche, slowing me down in more ways than one!)

With regards to the many comments about a balanced view....I wouldn't have it any other way!

Even if the most die-hard enthusiast thinks their car is perfect they'll just be kidding themselves....every car has it's positives and less positive aspects and this is what makes them appealing in different ways to different people. Being aware of and dealing with / finding ways around the less positive is just part of the ownership journey for me and I've had a sufficient variety of cars to be able to share as objective a view as possible - I'm glad some of you get something out of that!

If only this variety extended to women then my life really could've been interesting :D

O.k there is quite a lot of choice out there for 75k but the GT S would be top of the list.

Me....Young? Child? Humph!

I'm getting ever closer to death (well, not as close as some of you lol ;)) ...the missus and I still regularly get ID'd in Tesco when just trying to buy a bottle of wine with our shopping (this really pisses me off - if I just wanted to get some alcohol, why would I be putting £100+ of shopping on the conveyor too??). I then walk outside and smugly get in my Maserati!

Parisien....car tart. Moi? Well, they've hardly been supercars (maybe Porsche and Maserati excepted) - just fast german sports saloons mainly and before them, lots and lots of Alfa's. Yes, I do like to change often but I've got the point where I've had so many different cars that I'm not really interested in changing anymore - theres little that genuinely interests me - the Maserati does and was a car I bought to savour and cherish and as the next step up is sadly well out of financial reach, it'll be around for a while. In all honesty, the GT-S as a daily drive ain't cheap and I'm actually thinking that a 2nd car for this purpose makes good practical and financial sense (I fancy an Abarth 500....I've seen them advertised for £1k down and £198 a month for a brand spanker! Thats a tank and a half of petrol on the GT-S ...well, thats how I see it!).

Age doesn't really matter with this brand - IMO anyone over the age of mid-20's can get away with driving a Maserati (younger than that and everyone will think it's daddy's car!)

my wife is 39 so it's not all bad..

You filthy sod. Good man!

Reminds me of when I had my DB7 Volante at 26 years old.... driving through a car park with the roof down, I pass by a couple of blokes and one says to the other rather loudly "Daddy's car".
I stopped alongside them and said - It's mine actually, that's why it's got my name on it (Plate: ***DAN).

The offender changed his tune to a rather more humble and slightly embarrassed "Oh, fair play mate, it's a lovely car"

Made me chuckle
