My mum had a 2004 Maserati Coupe that she bought 3 years ago with 9,000 miles on the clock and the only service it had done was an oil and filter change in 2010. When she bought it she had it go through a major serrvice, drove it for 2 years as a daily driver with absolutely no problems. I think it comes down to how it has been stored over all those years as well.

Good to see strong prices. Just done 300 miles in her today, scared the family and also had people jumping and screaming in the towns and villages around the lakes. There is and will be no other car like it that I am sure of....
Do you think it's strong Phil,
I thought it was cheaper than most a d essentially not black, which usually seems to add a little!

I agree Dave. Bianco Fuji is a very rare colour and it's an MC-Shift car with the MC Sport Line carbon additions. I'd say at that mileage and price it represents good value, from a dealer, with a warranty.

I actually think your's is pretty much classified as not driven so that would not bother me but I would change the oil before doing any material mileage. I guess with the other car you could look at the MOTs to see if the 2500 miles was all front end but if it was not then that would bother me.

Good fully synthetic oils will protect an engine for two years but will start to break down and will not be offering full protection by three years. Deterioration can be more rapid if engine not run for prolonged periods. Similarly other fluids should be changed every two years - coolant and brake fluid.
