Gransport: Can anyone identify this cable?...

The cable in the attachment is coming out the back of the glove box in my 05 Gransport. Do any of you guys recognise what it is? I have shown the picture to staff in Halfords (yes I know, but I was driving by) and also at Camberley Auto Factors amongst others and no one recognises what this cable is for.

Anyone here able to help? Thanks

Not sure but at a guess and being in the glove box I would say it is some sort of line in to the Hifi unit. If you pull the head unit out this should confirm. Maybe it could bea phone kit is there any sign of a mic anywhere?

Too small, I think, Con. That's no audio plug I've ever seen, which isn't exhaustive, I'll grant. Pretty extensive, though.

Thats annoying as I was hoping it was an auxiliary in of some sort. Oh well. I have to say that for a top marque luxury car (albeit going on 7 years old) the becker infotainment center leaves a lot to be desired spec wise! Does anyone have any recommendations for a head unit which is in keeping with the car (i.e. doesn't make the interior look like a disco when its on) I just want a way of hooking my Samsung S3 up to play some tunes!

I was beginning to think it was some kind of RF plug. Been looking around on line but nothing of a firm match.

Thanks for all your help everyone. First time online since Xmas. Looks like I'll be looking for a new/better head unit then :-(
