If I every meet that guy I will punch him on his nose for bringing the most irritating advert to our screens.
If they quoted me £100 less than anyone else to insure my car I still would not go with them out of principle.
Everytime it comes on our screen it gets muted.

have to agree Matt, the ads are so annoying, could strangle the guy on the ad.

Adam they say that there is no such thing as bad advertising and indeed, this is proven by us discussing it. But I am in advertising, and what they need to realise is that a certain portion will never be lead by this sort of advertising. For sure, my little'ns dance round the room when the fat tenner comes on, but they dont buy car insurance now do they!

I think it is poor advertising as like you say only your children listen to the ad and dont buy car insurance and also because you cant hear what guy is saying due to his **** put on accent, know one listens to it.

Doesn't matter what the ads are like...every time I use the comparison sites, It is go-compare that gives the best price...
try putting in the same details in confused, compare the market, moneysupermarket & go compare....

Yes, I found that...GoCompare is the cheapest of the lot even though they introduce you to the same insurance companies. Funny eh!?!?
Whats not funny is insuring my new GTS...£40 more than my 911 Turbo which had a much higher replacement value and was significantly faster. Now, £40 doesn't sound like a lot but my policy ends in a month....so thats £40 extra for ONE MONTH! Here's hoping a large chunk of that was an admin cost for the change (I forgot to ask this question as it only hit home after I put the phone down!)

i have a degree in business and marketing, a 1st might i add, and i think the adverts are silly but it gets people talking like we are and their name gets out there.....
very few people will not bother due to irritating adverts, most would thats the point....i try them all but none give me good quote by the way...aviva, direct line the 2 not on the sites where best for the smart and MX5....
