Hi Jim,
Ref the photos that's no problem next time I visit the spray shop Ill Take some snaps. The ones I have are a bit far away & won't blow up that well.

Yeah have got kind of carried away but not knowing the car we had to get right into it to see what we were dealing with. And, touch wood, things don't appear to be that bad. (But needed doing) And I think this might be a keeper any way.

Yeah the body shop say the bonnet is aluminium I will check for myself when I'm next in.

Yes the dreaded rust, this time it will be better protected than the Italians left it.
The old girl has not done bad for 20 years old given the Italians reputation.

That's quite crispy! Well done for taking on the repairs. This sort of rot has consigned many to the scrapper.

dashboard removed, of course

Hi Jim, Sorry for the delay I have been busy catching up with work after the Christmas break & chucking myself down the side of mountains.

Yes the last shot is of the inside of the 'A' pillar. This unfortunately was not at all visible, even with the screen out, until the dash was removed. We had our suspensions though, might explain the wet feet!

All nicely repaired now though (well that part is anyway)

I have a small box of replacement rubbers that has just arrived that I hope will aid the wet feet situation once the old girl is all back together.

I'll pop some images on email to you as discussed, just as soon as i locate the lead for my camera.

I'm probably headed in to the body shop at the weekend for a nosy so let me know if there's anything else you require.

Cheers Adam

Yes. Courtesy of Marios Robert. Actually the only rot on the car when I bought it.

Hi Arthur, looks like a common issue!
Glad I'm not the only 'nutter' to tackle one.
Trying not to think how much I still have to do!

Hi Adam I've been working on mine now for 2 years but am now starting to feel that I have completed all the major work and just have a few cosmetic issues to resolve. Interestingly my car is 0021 but made it onto the road prior to yours.

Still a bit to do, but getting there. Replacement parts continue to cause problems.
Taxed on Tuesday so looking forward to my first legal drive.

Thanks guys, I must confess the photo does it justice, there is still a bit of tidying to do on the body work & there's a few comedy pannel gaps. Knowing the early Italian cars it was probably like this from the factory.

All was well until yesterday, but now all of a sudden we seem to have some quite major electrical issues.

I can see we're in for a rocky relationship!
