I had rather underestimated the chaos having my new garage would cause.

I came home to this this evening!

Where has my garden gone?

Brilliant, how many cars will it take?

The basic garage will hold 5 cars but the reason the base is over spec is I am allowing for three parking lifts (also allowed for in the building itself) taking the total up to 8, then there is already a double garage attached to the house so if all goes to plan I will have garaging for 10 cars.

Hope it goes smoother for you than it has for me.
We demolished the old one late August to build a bigger one as part of a major house reno.
Trenches and slab prep done by mid september for the garage and thats when I noticed the builders shortcuts. Long story short, project lay idle until a few weeks ago whilst we tried to sort the mess left by the dodgy builder. We sacked the builder and I have decided to owner build.
It will take longer but I'll make sure it is done right. Cant wait to bring my baby back home.

Wow that will be an amazing garage area Robin. I take pride in my garage but that will be something else to keep your cars in.

I sometimes look on garageforum.com to see what people get up to with their garages and to get ideas. Have you decided on flooring/walls/lighting/storage etc?

Crickey, sounds fantastic...love to see some pics when it's all done.
Puts me to shame....mines in a stable I converted, I did remove the straw.....
Note to self: Must try harder

Seriously though I'm in the plans of building a timber framed triple/quad......I keep changing the spec.....I like the idea of a lift.......mmmmmmm.

OH NO..!! I only have garaging for 8, I will have to get building again..!! Mind you one of our quads is full of stuff I have just emptied from an old cottage we have, so I still only have space for 4 and a Lawn Tractor, shucks..!! When I built our last garage, I extended the roof trusses to take a car lift in one area, but not enough for using it for up and over parking, that must be some building, well done..!!
