Front seat fault

Another electrical question and one I'm sure I've read about before but I couldn't find the answer!

My front passenger seat refuses to return to it's original position after someone gets in the back. I have to manually press the button to shuffle the seat back. Then when someone gets in the back, the same issue occurs.

Do I need to do some sort of reset to sort this issue??

Cheers

Hi Mark,

Should just need a reset:

Put the seat into the position you want it to return it to and get out and lock the car... Unlock and open that door adjust the seat in some way and fold the seat back fully forward within five seconds... The seat will move all the way foward then put the backerst back and the seat will return to the origional position and the reset is complete.

Also if you get 5 bleeps after you turn off the ignition this indicates the seat memory is corrupted and you will need to reset it... You can do a fuller reset to include the reversing mirror positions and the driver seat memories 1&2 details are on here in technical section.
