Front lower arms experiences

Hi everyone,
I am like many facing the front lower arm issue. My ball joints seem gone as we noticed with my mecanic an almost 1cm play (sorry for metric system).

After studying all options, I'd like to know if some of you experienced the mounting of ES patterns on the front. I read the issue of the rear not being really plug and play, but nothing about the front ones.

Can someone confirm they are plug and play on a 3200 ?

Thanks in advance !

Not tried the ES pattern front bones but you are correct about the rears, you need spyder forks fitted too on a 32.

Hi Danny, thanks for this link. I read it before, but my understanding is that Iqpl talks about the front fork of the rear of the car, not the front whishbone... But maybe I misunderstand.. I checked under my car tonight and the front wishbones look exactly the same as all the 4200 I see on the net. I think I'll take my chance with the patterns. I'll then give an update on it (maybe in a few weeks...).

You are right, you only need the forks for the rear lower arms as the boss for the bush is larger on the pattern part. The mountings for the front lower arms are part of the subframe and so cannot be changed.

Hi !
I received this a week ago. They have the same design as originals and look very well manufactured. For the moment it's all I can say. More news after mounting but it won't be very soon...

They look great, could you take more shots please. For future reference purposes. Where did you get them from?

Yes they are the patterns from ES. I also beleive they come from OCAP as it would make sense manufacturing wie rather than reshape a new mould.

I have one of these from Eurospares too, sitting on the bench in my garage. Will summon the energy to fit this one day, and get my beloved 3200 back on 4 wheels again.
Not sure I have the stomach for the fight if any of the three other corners are also cracked.

Frog, can you show us a pic of the seam across the back of the inboard 2 bushes are where the casting closes.

This is where they crack and they should be finished flush to stop it happening again, if its proud, get them flattened off.

Trust me Rob, an AC like yours is well worth sorting. Ping me if you need any parts.

Sorry I canT do the photo right now but they look pretty much the same as the originals on this part too, same finish. But I understood it was quite clear that the cracks were coming from the expansion of the bushes when they get rusty, thus happening more frequently in wet environment...

I think I ll inspect them frequently, but not modify them before mounting.

Here we go for new photos from the inner side. Pretty much as the original...

Also received all necessary bolts from superformance. Now I just need the time and the slot at the mecanic to have a new driving experience... As my problem is a ball joint issue, not crack, the car never saw the rain ;-)
